While meetings arranged by BRE and the Lighting AssociationOne of this years tasks has been to engage with the process of LED standards to put the requirements of lighting designers to the industry. A meeting was held during ARC09 in London and we thought we had a plan to push this forward, however time and volunteer resources have been against us. The term UEL has been adopted by a number of UK Government bodies to define targets for replacement energy efficient lighting technologies. I attended a meeting on August 6th organised by the UK Lighting Knowledge Transfer Network to try and establish exactly what UEL means.
